As a Californian who had never seen snow, Karen decided to move to the Midwest for graduate school and is currently a master's student in the Department of Counseling Psychology. She quickly became acquainted with the cold and realized her experience with snow was not at all like what she had seen in movies. Karen attended the University of California, Irvine where she graduated with a BA in Sociology and Psychology. To cope with the frigid Wisconsin weather, she often finds herself digging around for old chocolate candy that has been purposely hidden around her apartment.
