[SPT/CWIS] Losing and Merging records

We don't understand why records on our site, www.railroadheritage.org, are
being lost or merged. Last November, we had 20 entries from the California
State Railroad Museum. When I checked yesterday, there were 14 entries. We
lost one record on 2008-02-17 when two records being worked on merged into
one record, with parts of each. Since we did not notice the problem until a
few minutes later, we can't re-create what happened. And we have no idea
when the other five records vanished. Any suggestions?
