[SPT/CWIS] Adding controlled names from the "Add new resource" form

In 1.4.2 you should be able to add controlled names by clicking on the  
"Search" button on the resource editing screen, and entering the new  
name and any variant in the "Add New..." section at the bottom of the  
page.  However that "Add New" section will only appear if you are  
logged in with an account that has Controlled Name Administrator  
privileges.
