    We haven't been able to reproduce the
    problem here.  Has anyone else run into
    a similar issue?

    One thing that may help reveal the
    source of the difficulty is to add the
    debug trigger "DBUGLVL=4" to the start
    of the text you're searching for.  So,
    for example, you would enter:
        DBUGLVL=4 geometry lesson
    into the quick search box.  This will
    cause the search engine to output some
    additional diagnostic info.

    If the search is correctly filtering
    out unreleased resources, the diagnostic
    info should include a line like:
      SE: added comparison (field = Release Flag op = = val = 1)
    If it doesn't, then something is probably
    wrong with your metadata field setup.
