Hello everybody!

We have been trying to install SPT on our server, but with no success.
We have an Apache 2.2 server, PHP5 and MySql5, and OpenSUSE as OS.
SPT did not even accept the basic info for installing (db name, admin's
name and e-mail etc): our techie managed to overcome this by compiling
manually the installation file and updating a few other files to Php5
syntax, but of course this is not practicable for us through all of SPT
php files...

Any suggestion?
Maybe the upcoming SPT release, announced a few days ago, could solve at
least part of our problems?
We can accept to go back to older versions of Php (which one? we tried
to install some "old" php,and it didn't get along with our Apache 2),
but we would like to keep our current version of Apache

Thanks in advance!
Regards
Cristina Gottardi
