[SPT/CWIS] Trouble Validating OAI Harvesting URL with Repository Explorer

[OTL Bill]

I've just set up a new repository and am having mixed (usually  
failed) results trying to explore our collection using the Repository  
Explorer linked to from the "TEST OAI" button in the Scout Portal  
Administration page. I most often get a "failure to connect" message,  
as below, but I have been able to correctly identify the repository  
once and see a set of records once.

> HTTP Status Code : 500
> HTTP Error Message : Can't connect to cache.uct.ac.za:8080  
> (connect: Invalid argument)
> 500 Can't connect to cache.uct.ac.za:8080 (connect: Invalid argument)

A colleague tried harvesting some content using a library-catalog  
related tool (I'm forgetting the name...) and he was getting a MARC  
record format related error. Anybody else been having problems with  
your harvest url?

Perhaps I just need to change my configuration...
